Threshing Day Guide

Dragonkind Player Paths

These are two real Dragonkind runs. We wrote them up from public player videos, one screen at a time. Where the video doesn't show which button was tapped, we say so instead of guessing.

This isn't an answer key. The game says dragons follow no law but their own, so the same choices might not give you the same dragon. Use it to see what's coming and to pick on purpose.

Path 1: bonded with an orange swordtail

Result card: Daeshain, an orange swordtail. Male, 57 years old, lineage Tholiasych. The player was in Third Wing, Claw Section, First Squad.

What stands out: this player met a green and a red that weren't theirs and lived through both. They backed their squadmate in a fight. At the end they answered the orange dragon's roar instead of running.

Path 2: burned by a red

This run was on launch morning, and the site kept failing between choices. It ended at a red dragon. The game said the dragon found the player's choices foolish, then sent them away to wait.

#What happensYour optionsWhat the player picked
1Who you enter the Vale withTwo squadmates / alone / one squadmateAlone
2Roar to the east, sulfur to the westWest toward the smell / east toward the roar / middle of the forestNot clear. The server kept failing here
3A red dragon stalks toward you, breathing steamHide behind a tree / lower your eyes / meet its gazeNot clear. The player is burned right after

We add new paths as players post them

We still need runs that end with a black, blue, green, brown or red dragon. We check new videos every day and add each path here. Got burned? Start our retry timer, or warm up on our free simulator.

Questions people ask

Is there a Dragonkind answer key?

Not a guaranteed one. The game says dragons don't follow rules, so the same answers can end differently. Real player paths are the closest thing.

How do you get an orange dragon in Dragonkind?

In the run we wrote up, the player went to the orange dragon at the edge of a clearing, roared back at it and took its pose as an invite to climb on.

Do you meet more than one dragon?

Yes. The bonded player met a green and a red before the orange that picked them.

Does helping your squadmate get you killed?

Not in the run we watched. The player helped a squadmate against two bullies and went on to bond.
