Looking for the official game?
The official Threshing Day game is Dragonkind, at dragonkind.com. It needs an email sign up, and if a dragon burns you, you have to wait before you can try again. Our Dragonkind guide walks you through it.
This page is different. It's our own story, built for fun, so you can play as many times as you like.
The dragon colors in our simulator
Each color leans toward a couple of traits. This is our fan reading, not a rule from the books.
| Color | What it looks for in our simulator |
|---|---|
| red | Hot-tempered and fast to judge. Reds don't forgive hesitation, so they tend to pick people who don't hesitate. |
| orange | Unpredictable. Oranges like riders who surprise them, even if the surprise is yelling back. |
| green | Watchful and smart. Greens like riders who think before they move. |
| brown | Steady and patient. Browns pick riders who stick by their people. |
| blue | Cool-headed and sharp. Blues like a plan, and a rider who can hold their nerve. |
| black | Rare and dangerous. In our simulator, a black only shows up for a rider who is both fearless and sharp. |
